What is an access statement?
An access statement is a written, clear, accurate and above all honest description of our current facilities and access to the property and all rooms, to enable a potential visitor to make an informed decision as to whether our Bed and Breakfast property meets their particular needs.
Trennicks is located at the top of a very narrow 100 metre lane (Valley Park Lane) off Tregoney Hill. Most cars can travel along the lane without too much trouble, but some drivers can find it difficult. The lane is also uneven in places and so may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility. The lane is shared with a number of other properties. Cars descend a steep slope from the lane to Trennicks car park.
Entrance to the house from the parking area is through a gate leading to a gentle sloping paved pathway, then descending 15 paved steps approximately 30cm wide and 15cm deep and no handrail. Once downstairs, entrance to the house is via a 10cm raised threshold leading into the hallway. The hallway is laid to Karndean wood-effect flooring. The bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with raised shower trays. Breakfast is brought to your room in our Breakfast Baskets but you are welcome to take this into the garden or by the swimming pool.
Guests have use of several areas within the garden as well as the swimming pool. These are accessed either by paved walkways; gravel walkways; paved steps; and the Orchard Room has a patio door opening directly onto the patio.
Trennicks is on several levels so may not be suitable for anyone with limited mobility.
