Mevagissey has plenty of places to eat and drink in and around the harbour. There are a vast selection of tastes to suit everyone. We have listed our favourite Pubs and Restaurants below: -

• Sharksfin (01726-842969) - on the harbour, great service, mixture of fish, meat and interesting specials;
• The Fountain Inn (01726 842320) - traditional village pub with home cooked food, famous for their excellent fish and chips
• One Polkirt Hill (01726-843101) - new restaurant on Polkirt Hill that has been getting rave reviews
• Alvorada (01726-842055) - long standing, small Portuguese restaurant just off the harbour on Polkirt Hill; Tony has his own boat, so good on fish, but also some good veggie/tapas type Mediterranean food off a reassuringly small menu

• The Harbour Tavern (01726 842220) is on the quay with great harbour views; it offers good pub food and live bands most Friday evenings. A good place for a morning coffee whilst watching the harbour activity. Tel: 01726 842220

There are also now a number of food trucks on the harbour serving some great locally sourced food for you to investigate and enjoy.

Charlestown has several pubs and restaurants that are well worth visiting and Truro has a wider selection of eateries – we can recommend several!

•  The Vine by Knightor Small outpost of the Knightor Winery near Portscatho, housed in a barn within the vineyard.  Casual dining but nice food, friendly staff and a great selection of the vineyards wines; take a nice walk along Towan Beach or St Anthony Head (NationalTrust) before or after
• The Standard Inn -  Gerrans, Portscatho.  Really great food in a quaint little pub; there is an outdoor kitchen and a great Sunday BBQ and beer garden
• St Kew Inn  - St Kew, near Wadebridge. Great pub with adventurous, high quality food,  lots of eating out space if the weather permits>
• The Mariner's - Rock.  Paul Ainsworth-run pub (he has a Michelin-starred restaurant in Padstow); relaxed atmosphere and great food; nice long walk along the beach at Rock
